Local mom is semi-finalist in Mrs SA pageant

The top 25 finalists will be announced at the gala dinner on April 29 at Emperors

BIRCH Acres wife and mother of four, Precious Hadebe, made the cut as a semi-finalist in the Schwarszkopf Mrs South Africa pageant out of 250 entries across the country.

As an estate agent by day, she has realised that you are never too old to dream big, and entered the pageant to make a difference in young and older women’s lives.

“I grew up in rural areas of Northern Cape in Kuruman, where I used to enter beauty contests from a very young age of 10 and always received either first or second princess. People in the community used to call me Mabontle, meaning beauty, and that inspired and motivated me to be a model,” said Hadebe.

“After my matric year, I came to Johannesburg still wanting to pursue modelling but I was told that I am too short and now, the Mrs SA competition just made me realise that I can be anything I want to be, no matter the age or height.”

Hadebe has a very soft spot for children as well as the youth and her dream is to have a free aerobics club conducted strictly for girls only.

“I want the girls to always have someone to talk to, because they are our future leaders and they just need some assurance, guidance and motivation,” says Hadebe.

The top 25 finalist will be announced at the gala dinner on April 29 at Emperors and the final winner will be announced on October 21.

If you want to vote for Precious to be a finalist, all you need to do is like the Mrs South Africa Facebook page as well as her photo in the album posted on March 3.
