Family searches brother missing since 2013

"This time we thought he was with other relatives but when we realised they had not heard from him, we started to suspect something was wrong."

A family in Mashemong Section is appealing for any information regarding their missing brother, Mr Peter Matome Magashula.

According to Mr Magashula’s sister, Ms Selinah Magashula, her brother went missing on September 3, 2013.

“My brother was at home in Tafelkop, Mpumalanga, before he requested money to come back to Tembisa. He was not working and was looking for a job before he could go home.

“He used to work and when his job was finished, he went home to visit for quite some time. He needed to come back to Tembisa and he did not have money. I deposited money for him for transport but he never arrived. From that day, nobody knows his whereabouts,” added Ms Magashula.

Ms Magashula said her brother Matome (48) left home with a bag of clothes.

“It is not the first time my brother has gone missing. At the age of 13, he went missing for a period of six months and came back when he heard our father was admitted to hospital.

“This time we thought he was with other relatives but when we realised they had not heard from him, we started to suspect something was wrong. We reported him missing at the Tembisa SAPS,” said Ms Magashula.

Ms Magashula said they are appealing for any information that could lead to her brother’s whereabouts.

Anyone with information can contact Ms Selinah Magashula on 073 381 7072 or Katlego Magashula on 071 733 5651.
