Three escape collision with minor injuries

Emer-G-med took the mother and daughter to Sunshine Hospital

A man, as well as a mother and her eight-year-old daughter escaped with minor injuries following a side impact collision between a Nissan bakkie and a Ford Focus on the corner of Monument Road and Long Street on Friday afternoon.

“My wife and I, with our daughter, were travelling on Monument Road to Arwyp to see a neurologist when the driver of the Ford hit our bakkie on the right side. Everything happened so fast,” said the driver of the Nissan bakkie.

The impact of the collision made the bakkie to overturn onto its side. Bystanders helped to tip it onto its wheels again.

It is alleged that the Ford Focus is a government vehicle from the public service and admin department in Pretoria.

Emer-G-med took the mother and daughter to Sunshine Hospital and the driver of the Ford was taken to Arwyp for further medical care.
