Going organic as a means for healing
Trice Mazwi, a Mrs South Africa Top 100 semi-finalist, is a married mother who decided to go organic.
We often hear business coaches saying that a business should grow organically, which makes sense to businesses in general.
However, once the word leaves the plush boardrooms in the city and reaches the kitchens, it is used to describe the various ingredients used to prepare the daily meals we often brag about to our friends and family.
Meals prepared using organic (home-grown and sometimes bought) ingredients are healthier, as is often told to us by our grandparents, food specialists and various professionals.
The best way to ensure your food is organic is to grow it yourself.
Trice Mazwi, a Mrs South Africa Top 100 semi-finalist, is a married mother who decided to go organic. In fact, her entire family adopted the organic lifestyle.
Not one to do things because they have to be done, she started the annual Organic Lifestyle Fair.
The Organic Lifestyle Fair took form after Trice gave birth to her daughter, Otlile.
She described it as a life changing event, that saw her give up the glitz and glamour lifestyle as model, television presenter and advisor on beauty and etiquette, to embark on the road of soul discovery.
Otlile was born with an incurable disease and doctors believed she would live for only two months.
This news catapulted Trice into a frantic search to save her baby’s life.
Getting no answers from western medicine, she started looking into organic healing methods and practices, taking Otlile to numerologists, astrologers, body talkers, stress release practitioners, craneo-sacral therapists and more.
“All these modalities made it easier for me to understand what was wrong with my daughter, that medical science could not explain. Otlile outlived western medicine’s predictions, surviving until she was two and a half years old.”
These experiences inspired Trice to delve deeper into the causes of disease and illness, and ultimately, her studying a degree in Metaphysical Sciences. She is currently completing her masters in the field.
“After all the research and knowledge I gained, I realised I had to share it with those who might otherwise never have the opportunity to experience the benefits of organic healing methods and an organic lifestyle. And so this is how the Organic Lifestyle Fair was born.”
