Kidzone hosts fifth annual vacation Bible school
This year's theme was “The conquerors”
THE Assembly of God at Kempton children’s ministry, Kidzone, hosted its fifth Vacation Bible School (VBS) from March 21-23 at the NG church building in Norkem Park.
VBS is a holiday programme that helps children discover Jesus through crafts, Bible adventures, games, music and new friends.
“This year’s VBS was a huge success. We touched the lives of over 350 kids in the three days that we ran the programme. Our theme this year was ‘The conquerors’. We focused on teaching the children to conquer different aspects of their lives using biblical stories from the Bible, for example, teaching on how Joshua conquered fear,” said ministry leader, Nonsikelelo Mphofu.
“We would also like to thank all the volunteers who took their time to make VBS a success and would like to encourage stakeholders and other churches to join us in this venture to keep our kids off the streets. The next VBS will be next year during the first term of school holidays.”
