The grade 11 learner from Hoërskool Jeugland who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on his way to school on Wednesday morning, is in a stable condition in hospital.
Christopher van Dinter (16) has sustained serious back injuries.
The teen collided with a car near the traffic circle in Edleen around 7am.
Messages of support have streamed in on social media since yesterday.
