Jack saves his four-legged ‘soul mate’ from drowning
Skippy was so tired when he got to her, she was in the process of sinking to the bottom

JACK, a dog from Pomona, is his owner’s hero after Jack rescued his best four-legged friend from drowning.
Rogerio De Oliveira said his other dog, Skippy, an Australian cattle dog, fell into their irrigation dam at 1pm on Thursday.
“Jack, a cross between a burble and boxer, saw his best friend Skippy in distress as she could not get out. Jack kept barking for help and saw our electrician, Wimpie, working close by.
“When Jack realised Wimpie did not catch on to the urgency that Skippy was drowning, Jack jumped into the dam himself to help,” De Oliveira said.
It was only then that Wimpie ran to save Jack and Skippy from both drowning.
According to Wimpie, Skippy was so tired when he got to her, she was in the process of sinking to the bottom. He pulled both dogs out in the nick of time.
“Wimpie is a hero too. He saved both my dogs but I equally praise Jack as he was willing to sacrifice his own life for his soul mate,” his owner said.
“Both Jack and Skippy escaped this dreaded event, which could have cost both their lives. We need more heroes in this world like Wimpie and Jack.”
