Ché-lee is a spontaneous girl who simply does not take no for an answer. Her determination and perseverance has finally paid off for she is now on her way to launch her career overseas. She has also been scouted by Myers as a potential bursary candidate for the New York Film Academy.
The young girl lost her hearing at the age of three. She is 100 per cent deaf in her right ear and her left ear has no surround audio and she can’t hear above a certain decibel and frequency.
She has adapted very well and reads lips. If there is not too much noise in the background, she will turn her left ear towards you, to hear.
Because of this severe hearing disability she was told by numerous doctors she would never be able to hold a note or act. Against all odds, Ché-lee was determined to pursue her dream as a singer, actress and model.
Her passion is to reach out and motivate all with and without disabilities to never quit on their dreams.
In her spare time she has made several TV commercials and is currently participating in Model of the Year and Miss Prime South Africa. She is also recording her first CD, that will be released in mid-July.
Ché-lee’s vision is to be the next Charlize Theron. Her message to all is: “Where there is a will, there is a way.”
