Kempton Hospital to be demolished, rebuilt

This is according to Refiloe Nt'sekhe, DA MPL and constituency head Tembisa

Gauteng MEC for Health, Qedani Mahlangu has indicated that a new Kempton Park Hospital will be built on the site of the old hospital, with work expected to start in 2017.

This is according to Refiloe Nt’sekhe, DA MPL and constituency head Tembisa.

“The hospital, which has been allowed to fall in to disrepair, will alleviate the heavy burden placed on Tembisa Hospital, which is the only public medical facility in the Kempton/Tembisa region.

“The DA has long called for the hospital to be reopened and over the years has heard many half-truths that it would reopen,” she said.

“Hopefully this time MEC Mahlangu is prepared to commit to this project and bring relief to the residents of Kempton Park and Tembisa.”
