Earn the right to wear your Tekkies

Join in the fun on May 27 by purchasing stickers for R10 or get yourself trendy Tekkie Tax shoelaces for just R35

IT’S that time of the year to take out your best pair of tekkies and to help to raise much-needed funds.

On Friday, May 27, earn the right to wear your tekkies to work this National Tekkie Tax Day, by buying your Tekkie Tax stickers and shoelaces.

National Tekkie Tax Day is an annual national fund-raising campaign organised by 11 national welfare organisations, which represent more than 100 NGOs countrywide.

Join in the fun on May 27 by purchasing stickers for R10, or get yourself trendy Tekkie Tax shoelaces for just R35 (stickers included).

Wearing your sticker on the day symbolises your support of the cause of your choice and where your heart lies.

There is a selection of causes to choose from, each falling within the following categories: children’s homes, organisations for people living with disabilities, education NPO’s, animal shelters and welfare organisations that bring hope to the less fortunate, such as the Meals On Wheels community services.

The campaign has managed to raise R13.7-million in the past three years, and has quickly become one of South Africa’s most innovative and significant national fund-raising campaigns. All proceeds will be shared among the various NGOs represented.

The Tekkie Tax shoelaces can also be bought from any Clicks or Toys R Us, Reggies or Babies R Us stores.

Make your tekkies work for you, wear them to the gym, for a walk, to work or help out at your local NGO.

Take a selfie with your tekkies/sticker and tag us on your post #soschildernsvillagesZA.
