A video of assailants firing shots at a motorist in a car on the R24 is currently doing the rounds on social media.
The video was captured by another motorist.
Although details are still sketchy, the incident took place late this afternoon. The perpetrators were in a Kia SUV.
In the video one can hear several gun shots being fired. EWN reported that the R24 West had been closed between Edenvale Road and the Gillooly’s interchange.
According to social media the victim was wounded in the stomach. Other reports indicated he had been followed from a bank by the perpetrators. This could not be confirmed yet.
