Robbers got away with R40 000 in a daring robbery on the R24 at the Edenvale off-ramp on Friday.
A man was shot and wounded during the incident, police said.
According to Lt Col Lungelo Dlamini, police spokesman, six men in a silver car forced a white bakkie to stop on the R24 and robbed the three occupants of R40 000. The robbers stopped in front of the bakkie and opened fire, wounding the driver.
No arrests had yet been made.
