Two men found tied up, burned to death at construction site

The surviving victim was found a few metres away from the container with 100 percent third degree burns

THE bodies of two men with their hands bound were found in a burning tools container at a construction site on Elgin Road near Great North Road on Thursday morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene for a reported “house fire” at around 1:30am, said Ekurhuleni Disaster and Emergency Management Services` (DEMS) spokesman, William Ntladi.

On arrival at the scene, EMS found it was not a house fire but a construction site, where a huge tools container was well alight. After extinguishing the blaze, two bodies were found.
