THE South African National Blood Services held a blood drive at Festival Mall on Saturday from 9:30am to 4pm.
Mpho Letlatsa, PR officer of the blood bank, said, “Every time you sit down to donate you save three lives”. That is the quote used by SANBS to encourage donors and aspiring donors to give blood.
Patricial Marape (46) from Norkem Park has been a donor for the past four years.
“I always saw sad stories of accidents and mothers giving birth who died because there was a shortage pf blood. This is what encouraged me to start donating.
If you have something that you can give for free to help save a life, then why not?” asked Marape.
