FOURTEEN-YEAR-OLD Anthony Makibela from Hoërskool Birchleigh has written an entire cabaret with a Broadway/Hollywood musical, “The Young Ones” message.
The playbill, script and lyrics for all songs were written by him.
Anthony is very passionate about the arts because they stimulate the methodical and creative aspects of his personality, helping him to express himself in every possible way.
The focus of his musical is youngsters, who need to use the limited amount of time they have as children to realise their dreams and work on the bright future that awaits them.
“I have big dreams of my own,”said Makibela.
He added that Steve Jobs and Bill Gates have inspired him to develop his passion for design and functionality integration.
He is also a top 10 academic achiever, who would like to apply his artistic abilities to become a Nonosystems Engineer, after he matriculates in 2019.
