Two suspects, who were found in possession of two firearms, were arrested on June 3.
According to Captain Manyadza Ralidzhivha, SAPS officers from the Tembisa patrol team spotted a white Toyota Hilux driving along a street in Mqantsa Section.
“They tried to stop it but the vehicle sped off.
“Backup was requested and the car was cornered in Emmangweni Section,” said Capt Ralidzhivha.
“Four suspects jumped out from the back of the bakkie and ran away,” he said.
The driver and a passenger were arrested. The two firearms, which had their serial numbers filed off, were found.
Six live rounds, four gloves, one crowbar, one screwdriver and a knife were also found in their possession.”
