MES hands out soup and bread to homeless

A cup of soup, bread, warm jackets, scarves, beanies and prayers were shared

MES Kempton Park coordinated a special street outreach for their Hope for Winter campaign on June 9, to feed almost 30 homeless people living on the streets.

A cup of soup, bread, warm jackets, scarves, beanies and prayers were shared.

Hope for Winter was launched 15 years ago, aiming to encourage the public to collect winter essentials for the less fortunate during the cold winter months.

It is an annual national campaign which invites the public to make a tangible difference in the lives of people and their communities unable to afford the basics needed to survive harsh winter conditions.

MES Kempton Park has recently been involved in another Hope for Winter initiative, with a special outreach by Team Streetglow, who blessed 35 of MES’s food parcel families (including kids) with soup and blankets.
