Ill youngster receives visit from mayor

Joburg Mayor Clr Parks Tau, accompanied by the local leadership of the ANC, donated some groceries to Ximba’s family in Ebony Park on Tuesday last week.

The donation was part of the city programme, Bua Le Sechaba (talk to the nation).

The mayor also had the opportunity to speak to the ailing Zanele, who is having difficulties with breathing.

She is permanently attached to a machine that provides oxygen, allowing her to breathe.

“We became aware of this family’s situation through the local councillors and individuals who care for their community. The social workers had assessed the family’s needs and with their findings, they have identified the areas that need to be addressed,” said Clr Tau.
