Man hit by truck’s mirror on Atlas Road: airlifted
Paramedics found the man lying next to the truck in a critical condition
A man believed to be in his early thirties is in a critical condition after he was struck by the mirror of a truck on Atlas road on Wednesday morning.
According to Athlenda Mathe of Netcare 911 the man was apparently crossing the road when the incident happened at 12.30am.
When Netcare 911 paramedics arrived on the scene, they found the man lying next to the truck in a critical condition. Paramedics immediately intubated him to assist him to breathe.
He was stabilised by an advanced life support paramedic before being airlifted to hospital by the Netcare2 helicopter.
