Police officers engage with residents

"The motorcade started at the Tembisa Police Station and proceeded to Winnie Mandela."

The Tembisa Police Station held a crime awareness campaign in Winnie Mandela on July 2.

Captain Manyadza Ralidzhivha said members from the police station distributed pamphlets around Winnie Mandela, in zone 4, 8 and 10.

“The stakeholders also visited Phumlani Mall, where pamphlets regarding alcohol abuse, road safety, career paths and development, domestic violence, child abuse and neglect were distributed,” said Capt Ralidzhivha.

He said the stakeholders included the MEC for Safety and liaison’s office, Tembisa Social Crime Prevention, Tembisa sector commanders, corporate communications for the Tembisa SAPS, social development, Metro Police, correctional services, Tembisa South CPF, Tembisa CPF, the community safety forum and the Tembisa youth desk.

“The motorcade started at the Tembisa Police Station and proceeded to Winnie Mandela. The project ended with presentations at the Winnie Mandela library,” said Capt Ralidzhivha.
