Riebie wins Africa beauty title

Doing charity work is Cayla’s passion and she truly believes in the principle of 'paying it forward'

CAYLA van Eeden, a grade 7 learner at Laerskool Van Riebeeckpark Primary, has been crowned Miss Pre-Teen Africa 2016.

The prestigious event was hosted by Pageants SA, at the Protea Hotel OR Tambo.

Cayla competed in the Pre-Teen category 10-12 years, in which contestants had to show their skills on the ramp in casual and evening wear. They also had to appear in a cultural outfit that best represented the heritage of their forefathers or country of origin of their family.

Panel interviews were also conducted. Cayla received awards for best interview, best ramp model and best dressed evening wear.

The Miss Pre-Teen Africa title is a working title and, as such, she is required to participate in at least two functions a month – either charity functions or appearing as a VIP at an event.

Charity work has been Cayla’s passion for a number of years now, and she truly believes in the principle of “paying it forward”.

Carrying a title as big as this one and being part of the Pageants SA team, she now has an even bigger platform to create more awareness and obtain more support for the charities she supports.

Cayla attends modelling classes at Model Manifest Studio, in Edleen.
