Fun day for kids with Ronald McDonald

The children enjoyed Ronald's magic show, face paint and free giveaways

IN celebration of Mandela Day, McDonald’s Kempton Park hosted a fun day for kids with Ronald McDonald for their 67 minutes on Monday.

The main purpose of the day was to hand over food, blankets and clothes that the crew of McDonald’s donated to the Methodist Church orphanage in Commissioner Street.

Joyess Angels and New Bright Beginnings Crèche were also invited to enjoy Ronald’s magic show, face-painting and free giveaways.

The Kempton Park SAPS was attended to talk to the children about safety and the dangers of talking to strangers.

“Unfortunately the children from the orphanage could not be here but the lady will collect the goodies that we donated as a crew at a later stage. Thank you so much for everyone who came and enjoyed the day with the McDonald’s crew and Ronald McDonald. We are happy to know that the proceeds we collected will make those children’s stomachs full and they will be able to sleep warm,” said marketing coordinator of McDonald’s, Kelly Maseko.
