Driver ploughs through Kruinsig’s wall

The driver of the bakkie is still unknown

LAERSKOOL Kruinsig will suffer some unnecessary financial costs thanks to an unknown person who ploughed through the pre-cast walling at the entrance of the school on the corner of Veld and Vlei streets.

According to school principal, Johan Kruger the incident must have happened late Saturday evening or in the early hours of Sunday morning.

“I spoke to one of the petrol attendants at the Total garage and he said that a grey bakkie came up Vlei Street at high speed, skipped the stop street and lost control once he turned and drove straight through the wall,” said Kruger.

The school is now left with damages to its netball court as well as the advertising board that was mounted behind the pre-cast walling that also need to be replaced.

If anyone has any other information regarding the incident or saw something, contact Kruger on 011-972- 4147.
