Airport Parkade has soup day for homeless boys

The team will set out every Wednesday to give these boys a proper meal

THE staff of Airport Parkade at OR Tambo International Airport gave their time to serve soup to the homeless boys on the corner of Monument Road and Long Street on July 20.

They gave soup and bread to more than 30 boys and aspire to make this a weekly donation until winter is over.

“It is very important to me and all of my staff to give back to those who do not have anything,” said the owner of Airport Parkade, Babsi Mcinga.

”We believe a proper meal for these boys every week will get them through the winter and the big dream is to one day open a shelter for the homeless, where we can take them in and off the streets.”

The team will set out every Wednesday to give the youngsters a proper meal.

“We would like to thank our sponsors, SADS Aviation and LeByte Holdings, for the oranges, Pick n Pay Glen Balad for the bread, Food Lovers Market for the various vegetables for the soup, and every single staff member who helped with the cooking process.”
