Ivory Park SAPS arrests five suspects on roadblocks

According to Ivory Park SAPS newly appointed Communication Officer, Captain Bernard Matimulane, during the first phase of the operation at the bustling "Swazi Inn" market in Ivory Park Extension 3, the police, led from the front by the Ivory Park SAPS Station Commander, Brigadier Mbongeni David Ngcobo, confiscated many counterfeit DVDs and CDs.

Ivory Park SAPS police officers, joined by the neighbouring police stations and Johannesburg Metro Police Department and community patrollers, arrested five suspects during an operation on Wednesday last week.

According to Ivory Park SAPS newly appointed communications officer, Captain Bernard Matimulane, during the first phase of the operation at the bustling “Swazi Inn” market in Ivory Park Extension 3, the police, led from the front by the Ivory Park SAPS Station Commander, Brigadier Mbongeni David Ngcobo, confiscated many counterfeit DVDs and CDs.

“They later dispersed to various parts of Ivory Park where known dagga dealers were paid a surprise visit and three of them were arrested. Two other people were arrested for assault GBH and for possession of counterfeit goods,” added Captain Matimulane.

Ivory Park SAPS Brigadier Ngcobo and his team are determined to keep this momentum going.
