
POLICE are investigating a case of murder after an elderly man was found brutally murdered on Sunday morning.
The 81-year-old was found lying in a pool of blood in his Fernandes Street home in Bredell.
Kempton SAPS spokesperson, Capt Jethro Mtshali, said police found the deceased had sustained severe injuries to his upper body, including the neck. Mtshali said it appeared as if he’d been stabbed with a sharp object.

“The victim was later certified dead by paramedics,” Mtshali confirmed.
“The safe in the home had also been forced open.”
A case of house robbery is also being investigated.
