Escorted by the Gauteng Traffic Department, the brigade left the SAA technical grounds at 7am and used back routes, via Boksburg, and arrived at their destination at about 9.15am, according to Matt Harvey, retired former technical engineer for SAA Technical.

On Saturday afternoon, the 7-ton Viking was loaded onto a 20-metre long low bed using a crane.
