Gauteng central ambassador of Coca Cola Beverage South Africa, Midrand, Mr Elvis Saohatse donated eight office desks to Entshonalanga Primary School on Wednesday last week.
“Backing local schools is our aim,” said Mr Saohatse.
The initiative was made possible after Mr Saohatse asked for help to help identify a school that was most in need. It was then when the eight office desks were delivered to the school on Wednesday last week.
Speaking at the handing over of the desks, Mr Saohatse said the donation is part of an ongoing corporate social investment.
“I am grateful to have met the school half way, especially that they lack office property. We are looking forward to working with the school more often throughout the year and help where it is possible. I will still continue donating to vulnerable centres that cater for children in the township and help the community as whole. It is always our dream to make a difference in the communities,” added Mr Saohatse.
Mr Saohatse said he thanks The Tembisan for making it easier for him to identify a worthy school.
“As a team, we can reach more other vulnerable centres and help where it is possible,” said Mr Saohatse.
Entshonalanga Primary School principal Mr Fana Digashu expressed his joy.
“I believe this year holds great things for us as we’ve entered and received what we mostly needed in the school. I am pleased with Coca Cola Beaverage South Africa’s initiative for bringing nice and strong office desks to our school. We appreciate the gesture and we are also looking forward to working with you. And I thank The Tembisan for showing interest in our school and noted us as a struggling school,” said Mr Digashu.
