Due to the replacement of a valve and repair of a subsurface leakage at least four suburbs will be without water on Sunday night.
According to ward councillor Gideon van Zyl two major issues had been detected by the water department that affect the water pressure in parts of Van Riebeeck Park and Terenure.
“The Water Department is planning replacement of a valve and repair of a subsurface leak that will lead to a planned shutdown of a part of the water system on Sunday evening from 7pm. Because it is a planned intervention, all spares and equipment will already be on site to reduce the outage to the minimum. The outage should not exceed five hours, but please ensure that you plan for it,” Van Zyl said.
The outage will affect parts of Terenure, Van Riebeeck Park, Birchleigh and Norkem Park.
