Mom lays charge of theft against son

Mother puts her son in jail for theft.

A 56-year-old mother had her son arrested for housebreaking and theft.

Captain Manyadzha Ralidzhivha said on January 25 she noticed her son carrying a hotplate and a kettle.

“He was coming back from the outside room and she immediately went to check.

“She noticed that he had broken the windows of the room and had entered the room. She told him to stop and her son started to run away. The mother gave chase,” said Captain Ralidzhivha

While the mother was chasing her son, she saw a Metro Police vehicle. She stopped the officers and told them what had happened. She asked the officers to help her chase her son

“The officers apprehend the son and the goods were recovered. The mother went with the Metro Polic0e officers to the the police station and opened a case of housebreaking and theft against her son,” said Captain Ralidzhivha.

Captain Ralidzhivha said the son was detained at the Tembisa police cells. He will appear before the Tembisa Magistrate’s Court on a charge of housebreaking, theft and possession of suspected stolen property.
