A case of business robbery was opened at Norkem Park SAPS after five suspects struck at Flame Diner in Edleen on Sunday evening shortly after 8pm.
According to the metro police spokesman, Lt Col Kobeli Mokheseng, the suspects escaped with an undisclosed amount of money, electronic devices such as cellphones, jewellery and the CCTV camera box.

He said a male employee of the diner showed some resistance against the suspects and was hit on the head with a firearm. He was not seriously injured.
Capt Lesibana Molokomme, Norkem Park SAPS spokesman, confirmed customers were in the outlet at the time of the incident.
MML Security responded to the scene after an employee managed to press the panic button.
The suspects fled in a black Volkswagen Polo without registration plates, Mokheseng added.
Molokomme said no arrests had been made and anyone with information should call the station on 011-391-1814/5.
When Express contacted Flame on Monday morning, the person who answered the call referred the newspaper to someone else. We are still waiting for comment.
