Armed men hold up staff at Rhodesfield business

The armed men stole the staff members' five cell phones, one laptop and R500 cash before loading the stolen goods into a KIA bakkie

THREE armed men held staff members at gunpoint at a Rhodesfield business on January 31.

The intruders stormed into S&M Clearing Logistics on Mars Street at about 8pm.

Alpha Security’s reaction officer, Gideon Leriba, said he arrived at the scene half an hour later. “Four staff members, one woman and three men, had been held up at gunpoint,” Leriba explained.

“One of the staff members, the driver, had been hit on the forehead with a gun and was bleeding. But he refused for an ambulance to be called and said he was all right.”
