A man died while trying to get fresh air at the Tembisa Police Station at around 7.30am on Tuesday.
Captain Manyadza Ralidzhivha said the man’s wife arrived at the police station with stab wounds.
“While she was deciding on whether to open a case, the husband arrived and they were both put in one of the offices for discussion. The man felt hot and needed some fresh air. He sat next to an open window and after a short while he started getting quiet,” said Captain Ralidzhivha.
Paramedics who responded to the incident certified the man dead on the scene, but the police have no information about what could have led to the man’s death.
Captain Ralidzhivha said an inquest docket has been opened.
