Tembisa South SAPS welcomes new station commander

Tembisa South SAPS gets a new station commander.

Colonel David Molefi Tsotsotso is responsible for steering the Tembisa South SAPS Police Station in a new direction.

The new Tembisa SAPS station commander, Colonel Tsotsotso, is by no means a policing novice, as he boasts 26 years in the service.

On January 15 Colonel Tsotsotso took up the leadership position at the Tembisa South SAPS after leading Rabie Ridge Police Station as a station commander.

Colonel Tsotsotso fills the shoes of the departing Tembisa South SAPS Colonel Dorah Morebodi, who has been transferred to Kagiso Police Station.

The dedicated officer began his service in 1991, serving the community of Midrand until 1998.

In the same year, Colonel Tsotsotso was transferred to Tembisa, where he worked well with the community in his position as the head of the crime prevention unit.

“I am encouraging Tembisa South community members to work together with the police in fighting crime by giving the police information regarding unlicensed firearms and stolen property, including vehicles,” said Colonel Tsotsotso.

His passion for working with the community has already seen Colonel Tsotsotso visiting Ehlanzeni Section to discuss fighting crime there.
