Various Kempton Park suburbs are without power this morning.
Ward councillor Gideon van Zyl reported that parts of Glen Marais were without electricity.
He said the metro was aware of the power failure and were busy with repairs.
“The power is expected to be restored around midday. However, efforts are made to restore power earlier,” Van Zyl added.
Ward councillor Tracey Lourenco said Esther Park, Croydon, Cresslawn and Kelvin Estates had been without electricity since late last night because of a cable fault.
“Repairs on the high voltage feeder overhead lines are underway and power is expected to be restored around midday,” she said.
