BREAKING NEWS: Boyfriend accused of killing Commissioner Street girlfriend arrested

Kempton detectives tracked him down in Limpopo after he fled there

KEMPTON Park SAPS has confirmed to EXPRESS that the suspect wanted in connection with his girlfriend’s murder earlier this week was arrested on Friday evening.

The 28-year-old, who was a security guard at a local school, was tracked down to his home province Limpopo, after fleeing there.

He was wanted by police for allegedly killing his girlfriend, Priska Schalk (29), on Monday night. Schalk was discovered in a pool of blood in her Commissioner Street home, still with two knives lodged in her chest.

According to police spokesperson, Capt Jethro Mtshali, Kempton detectives followed up on information received regarding his whereabouts and left for Limpopo on Friday morning.

“Together with Limpopo police, they managed to trace the suspect and arrested him at a shopping complex in Mokopane,” Mtshali confirmed.

The suspect faces a murder charge and is due to appear in court on Monday.
