A 33-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with her mother’s murder.
According to Kempton Park SAPS spokesperson, Capt Jethro Mtshali, the woman was arrested on Sunday morning after police arrived to find her 53-year-old mother’s body inside their swimming pool.
“Police were summoned to the Mona Street home at about 7am. Neighbours called police after they alleged to have witnessed the suspect beating her mother,” Mtshali explained.
“Upon their arrival, the victim was found inside the swimming pool and paramedics had already certified her dead.”
The woman, who was still on the scene when the cops arrived, was arrested immediately.
She will appear in court where she will face a murder charge.
