Life 4 U Foundation highlights the important role of women
Celebrating the International Women's Day on the 8th of March 2017, Life 4 U Foundation extended their hand of compassion by visiting mothers and women of the freedom square informal settlement who are the model of persistence, dedication and intelligence.
“Women are the pillars of their families. They take a lot of beatings to keep their homes warm and to make the world a better place.”
These were the words of the founder of Life 4 U Foundation project, Mr Simon Molekwa, during the celebration of International Women’s Day on Wednesday last week.
The outreach, which was held at Freedom Square informal settlement, formed part of a campaign to distribute food parcels and clothing to disadvantaged families in Freedom Square. About 15 families benefited from the donation.
Mr Molekwa said some women in the community are chastised by their own children, partners and grandchildren just because they are unique and loving.
“Afflicted, battered and insulted women continue to keep their families together. Who will thus dare to try to undermine their strength, wisdom and love? If you hurt them, they love you back. You pull them down; they lift you up. Women are making sure that their families do not go to sleep on an empty stomach,” said Mr Molekwa.

“These women face many challenges but they are always adamant to succeed. We thank our sponsor Iwiza Maize Meal for the donation of food items and clothing. At Life 4 U Foundation we detest poverty and inequality and that’s why we always make sure that our communities are taken care of through the various programmes we are running,” said Mr Molekwa.
