Spike makes sweet music

Tembisa youth get a platform to explore their talents.

Mbuso “Spike” Mogale has created a music platform for Tembisa talent to shine.

In 2016 Spike established a movement called Da Plug Sound, which would later give rise to subsidiaries like the Plug-Studio, Plug Records and The Plug Entertainment.

The conglomerate nurtures and gives opportunities to young people who share their positive vision for the music industry.

He said over the years one member has parted ways with Da Plug, but that has not discouraged the movement.

“I have signed new artists like Paragon and Icy Murda, who have brought a new flavor in our style. They are working on a studio album as well,” said Spike.

He said his artists are a force to be reckoned with in the hip-hop scene.

Spike is putting together an all-member compilation album called the New Journey.

He said the project will be offered under the brand Plug Fam.

“This is made possible by the help of business associates. Promotions and distribution deals are in the pipeline with one of SA’s biggest companies.”

He said in short there is a lot to be expected from Plug Entertainment, and Tembisa music lovers must watch the space.

Plug Entertainment has also signed a group from Durban called Next Level.

“I am considering working on an RnB project with the Durban boys,” said Spike.

One may wonder who is this Spike who threatens to take the music world by storm.

Spike said he is not a chancer in the art of music.

“My passion for music started in church where I was involved in a choir.

“When I got into the music business I was inspired musically by classic, Pop, African and RnB genres,” said Spike.

Spike polished his skills by being directly involved with all the music projects he initiated.
