Gunmen fired shots at an Orlando Pirates player while he was visiting friends in Phomolong on March 26.
Captain Matsobane Mofana Masela said Orlando Pirates star Thabo Matlaba and another complainant were having drinks with friends when the shooting occurred.
The group was outside a friend’s house on the street.
“Both complainants were enjoying the weekend with friends when an unknown car came past, and the occupants fired at them.
“Two bullets hit Thabo Matlaba’s BMW and the Toyota Corolla belonging to another complainant was also shot and damaged,” said Captain Masela.
Captain Masela said the complainants alleged that they cannot identify the suspects.
Captain Masela said the investigations are continuing.
