Loving widows and orphans
Mr Molekwa added that, at Life 4 U Foundation, they don't want to see people excluded because of their bereavement, economic background, gender or nationality.
On April 1, Life 4 U Foundation hosted its annual Widows and Orphans Easter Charity Event, themed Caring for the Destitute, to embrace and show love to the 50 most impoverished widows and orphans from Ivory Park and Tembisa.
“As we will be celebrating Easter and Passover, our foundation wanted to lead by example as it is written in the book of James,” said the founder of Life 4 U Foundation, Mr Simon Molekwa.
Mr Molekwa added that, at Life 4 U Foundation, they don’t want to see people excluded because of their bereavement, economic background, gender or nationality.
“Our aim is to see people living together as a human race and for the fact that most widows and orphans are forgotten and some are pillaged by their relatives, this compels and encourages us to focus on this target group,” said Mr Molekwa.
He said they want to remain relevant and effective in dealing with the scourge of poverty in their communities and the main objective of their “Thusa Sechaba” quarterly charity event is to help the most impoverished and marginalised widows and orphans to have hope in life and to ensure that no one in the community is excluded, starved or deprived of human dignity and the right to live a happy, decent life.
The beneficiaries were excited to receive the food parcels and clothes which the organisation collected from communities in Gauteng.
“Life 4 U Foundation is forever grateful to our current sponsors and our new sponsors Nouveaux Meat, Chill with Megal and Mapula Nyama Rapo, who came on board to support our cause,” said Mr Molekwa.
