In broad daylight, on the morning of April 18, the premises of an old couple, living in Van Riebeeck Park, was entered.
The couple was at the coast at the time.
The perpetrators broke open the electronic gate.
The gardener next door heard the commotion and without considering his own safety, ran to the criminals and shouted very loud.
The burglars stopped their activities and fled the scene.
