Apostle Peter Moitse and the men’s ministry under the leadership of Mr Walter Maroge, together with the congregation of Care Bible Church, saw the need to recognise and honour the men and women in uniform who spend their lives in the line of fire protecting the citizens of South Africa.
The event – which took place on Sunday, May 7 – saw members of various security firms, the Metro Police and members of the Defence Force invited to a special service at Care Bible Church.
An award ceremony took place after a sermon by Pastor Francis.
Afterwards guests of honour were each presented with certificates which were signed by Apostle PK Moitse and gifts which the men’s ministry purchased for them.
The ceremony was followed by a special lunch prepared by Care Bible Church hospitality team, where guests joined Apostle Moitse and the leadership of the church.
Guests were appreciative of the gesture and during their thank you speech they mentioned that this was the first time an organisation had done something this special for them.
