Another attack on an elderly resident – this time in Van Riebeeck Park

Police confirmed this attack was another one in a string of daylight house robberies in Kempton Park suburbs lately

NORKEM Park SAPS has confirmed yet another house robbery that took place in the Kempton Park suburbs where an elderly person was attacked.

Two men attacked a 74-year-old man in his Van Riebeeck Park home on Elgin Road around 12.30am on Monday.

Spokesperson Capt Lesibana Molokomme confirmed the two suspects tied the elderly man and proceeded to ransack his property, leaving with his electronics and some money.

“We are very concerned about these recent house robberies as criminals are targeting our residents during the day. Last week we had a couple and on May 15 we had this one and another one where a domestic worker was attacked,” said Molokomme.

The elderly men was hospitalised for shock and hand bruises.
