Support children with autism disorders

The festival mall is set to host the awareness campaign this May 31

NOSH for Josh is gearing up to host an awareness campaign in support of children with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) on May 31 at Festival Mall and residents are invited.

Nosh for Josh is a non-profit organisation with a social and charitable purpose, whose financial proceeds are used to advance work with autism and related disorders.

According to Nosh for Josh, a child with autism is born in South Africa every hour but only 0.001% of the children with the disorder have access to beneficial education.

The organisation aims to raise funds for disadvantaged autistic children and send them for a stem cell therapy operation in India, to establish an autism centre to assist disadvantaged parents with the rehabilitation support for their children and to develop a Nosh for Josh training institute that will run courses, workshops and training to care givers and families supporting children with autism.

Spur has come on board as it will have waitresses shadowing on May 31. In addition, 10 per cent of clients’ overall bill will be donated to Nosh for Josh.
