Bikers raise over R30 000 for protective workshop in Pomona

THE Hell Razors Motorcycle Club raised over R30 000 for the East Rand Protective Workshop.
This was part of the club’s annual charity drive, during which the members come together to donate to the less fortunate, choosing a different cause each year.
Escorted by metro police, about 60 bikers rode to the Pomona facility for mentally handicapped adults on Sunday morning to hand over the cheque for R30 750.

The club also donated a truck full of clothes, as well as a huge water storage tank.
“The Protective Workshop is planning to undertake various maintenance projects, which include the harvesting of rain water, gutter repairs, vehicle maintenance, among other things,” bike club member Ashton Eckler explained.
In addition to the generous donations made by the club members, and their work colleagues and friends, several companies also donated sums of money to help with these projects.

“We also made party packs containing toiletries and made food platters for them to enjoy,” said Drienie Prollius, another member of the club.
The Hell Razors would like to give special thanks to the Ekurhuleni Metro Police’s K9 unit for their continued support, as well as to the following sponsors: Ayoba Insurance Brokers, BCL Office Automation, Corp-Sure Service and Branding Pty Ltd, General Salvage, DDP Valuers, D.I.Y Stainless Steel Balustrade, Paratus Telecom, SA Digital Villages, SA Stock Brokers and Turbomeca.
