Tembisa crèches gathered at Tlamatlama sporting ground to enjoy a fun day on May 20.
Organiser Daisy Mahlaba said Tembisa Child Minders Association hosted the event so the children from the 16 crèches could engage in physical exercise.
“We are trying to give confidence to the children to participate in different sports. This will also give them communication and socialising skills,” said Mahlaba.
She said the fun day was not sponsored and she therefore thanked the parents for their contributions.
“We used the money contributed for transport and food. We also encourage other crèches to engage in such activities to keep the children fit.”
