Young actress/model needs donations for Hollywood dream

Chayenne was chosen for the final 15 out of more than 100 participants

Hoërskool Birchleigh learner and aspiring model and actor, Chayenne Grass (17) is one of 15 participants to attend the Hollywood Dreams bootcamp in California in August.

Chayenne was chosen for the final 15 out of more than 100 participants at her first ever audition on April 29 at the Hilton Hotel in Sandton.

Hollywood Dreams is a talent search company that looks for new performers, singers, models and actors globally.

“I have never done anything like this before but when I saw the ad for the auditions on Facebook, I just had to enter and see what happened. I was very nervous when they approved my application and on the day there were so many talented people from young to old but I just gave it my all.

“The outcome of my whole journey is incredible and I am so thankful to have been announced as one of the top 10 performers in acting and modelling out of the final 15 participants,” said Chayenne.

The bootcamp will take place over three days in Los Angeles, where talent scouts and agents from across the world will judge Chayenne and her fellow participants for possible scholarships or a modelling contract.

“For me this is a huge opportunity and learning curve because I am not currently with any modelling or acting school. My passion is performing arts and I would love to study and work as an actor overseas after school.”

Chayenne’s plan B is to be a backup singer for Beyoncé and tour the world.

Two of her biggest inspirations are actress Charlize Theron and model Tyra Banks.

“My daughter is such a beautiful and respectful person and always has time to help me with anything I ask. When we lost her mother seven years ago, I raised her on my own and we formed a very close bond, so for me to be able to give this amazing opportunity to her will mean the world to me and Chayenne,” said father Vincent.

For Chayenne to go to California in August the costs are over R40 000 and she and her family are asking for any donations or sponsorships towards her journey of becoming a performer and being seen by international scouts.

For any donations or more information contact Vincent on 079 385 4596.
