Lad finds love in rap

Ice Breaker finds his calling in rap music.

Swept off his feet by rap music, the 16-year-old boy is now set on making a living in the entertainment industry.

Mthobisi “Ice Breaker” Mahlobo was introduced to the art by a friend who is now his crew member.

“I saw my friends reciting their lines and I got interested.

Ice Breaker.

“I told myself that I could do that and nothing would stop me,” said Ice Breaker.

“I just released a single track. It’s a rap song and it received a positive response from fans. They love the message and the beats. The title of the song is Baby I miss you.”

He said in the song he worked with Sthukzin, who created the beats and produced the song.

“He is also spitting the first verse in the single song. I aim to prove that true rap still exists.

“I aim to outdo everyone among my peers and I would love to work with seasoned rap artists one day”.

He said internationally he is inspired by Busta Rhymes and locally he admires AKA.

“Academically I want to pursue medicine or study law but for a living I want to run my music business.

“I will never leave rap music for anything.”
