A man has apparently died after being shot in his home in the luxury Dunblane Lifestyle and Equestrian Estate early this morning (Friday).
Maj-Gen Poobalan Subbiah, Ekurhuleni Central Cluster commander, said details of the crime were sketchy as this stage.
He said initial reports suggested three men entered the house. When a man in the house went to investigate, he was shot.
Social media reports indicated he was taken to hospital in a private vehicle, while others indicated he was airlifted from the scene, but later died in theatre.
